A third-generation photographer, I was born and raised in Alaska with a natural propensity for the visual. Currently attending Southern Illinois University, majoring in photography and minoring in journalism. I have two years of darkroom experience, but I have a preference with noodling in Photoshop with the pictures taken from my Nikon D5000. In no way have my black and white prints been re-touched digially except to remove dust. I shoot with film as well to get really fine detail and accurate color, but have yet to put color photography up. I work for NBC Chicago as an intern, and I've taken pictures for their website.
